I research platform governance, Big Tech power and politics of disinformation. My work examines regulatory frameworks, platform accountability and the role of digital infrastructures in contemporary democracies.

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). Member of Margem — Democracy and Justice Research Group. Research associate at the Governing the Digital Society programme at Utrecht University. Executive Secretary at SAD — Anti-Disinformation Articulation Room.

I have a Master’s degree in International Relations from RSIS, Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) and a Postgraduate specialization in Intellectual Property Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV Law), São Paulo.

I have more than ten years of professional experience in the technology sector, including roles at Google and Meta working with Trust & Safety, Risk Management, Platform Policy and Governance. Currently I am a consultant and a speaker covering topics such as platform governance, digital regulation and artificial intelligence.

Andressa Michelotti contributes regularly to public debate on technology, democracy and platform governance, with appearances in major Brazilian media outlets. Her work has been featured in publications such as The Intercept, Folha de S.Paulo, Valor Econômico, Veja, Estadão, CartaCapital and Agência Brasil, as well as international platforms including Tech Policy Press. She has also participated in interviews and podcasts discussing artificial intelligence, digital regulation and the political implications of Big Tech, consolidating her presence as a public voice in the field.
