Andressa Michelotti

I am a Political Science Ph.D. Candidate at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). I am also a PhD research visitor at the Governing the Digital Society research group at the Utrecht University in the Netherlands. I have a Masters Degree in International Relations from RSIS at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. and Postgraduate specialization in Intellectual Property from FGV Law (Fundação Getúlio Vargas) in São Paulo, Brazil.

My research explores governance and Big Tech power in the disinformation debate in Brazil.

Previously, I co-founded In_Site Research, a research consultancy specializing in technology, society, and culture. I have also worked in the tech industry — Google and Facebook (Meta) — for over a decade. Last but not least, I am an amateur photographer and a coffee aficionada.
